About Julie
I am an independent college consultant working with families to navigate the college admissions process in a way that is personalized and tailored to each student's aspirations.
As both a consultant and a parent, I have experienced the complexities of the college admissions journey firsthand. My daughter graduated from Villanova University in 2024, and my son is a sophomore at Dartmouth College. Having gone through this process with my own children, I recognize the stress families face. My goal is to make the journey more manageable by breaking it down into clear steps, easing anxiety, and turning it into an exciting and rewarding experience. From application to acceptance, I work closely with each student to ensure they land on a college campus where they will thrive.

- Personalized, one-on-one counseling through each stage of the college application process. Meetings in person or via Zoom. Service tailored to meet the needs and interests of each student.
- Keep student on task. Coordination of and notification of important dates and deadlines.
- Aptitude assessment - an online tool to help students discover potential college major/career options.
- High school course selection guidance.
- College visit advising. Visit preparation and assistance with planning and scheduling.
- Standardized test planning and advising.
- College list development and refinement. Compile a list of schools offering a range of admission possibilities.
- Comprehensive essay review. Brainstorm ideas, edit, and revise through the final draft.
- Extracurricular advising. Organize and appropriately describe all relevant activities.
- Discuss "demonstrated interest."
- Craft an admission strategy considering: ED, EA, REA, RD and Rolling.
- Review and proofread applications prior to submission.
- Support through the deferral and wait list process, if applicable.
